Planner & Procurement Officer - Maintenance Primary Location: Lower Dandenong Road, Braeside, Melbourne Hours of Work: Full-time, Monday-Friday The Company: Bread is the heart and soul of Laurent. The Role: A great opportunity is now available to join our manufacturing team at our Braeside facilities. In this role, you will help to coordinate and source the supply of materials (domestically and internationally) for our maintenance team. You will also be responsible for planning works with our internal and external resources. A key focus will be accountability for achieving cost of goods savings through the continuous review of pricing, quality, and suppliers both locally and internationally to create a cost-effective and sustainable supply chain to meet production requirements. Planning and scheduling are crucial to maintain the reliability of production equipment to deliver to our customers on time and at the quality expected. This role would ideally suit a graduate Engineer looking to start a career in a large Maintenance team. Key Responsibilities: Managing maintenance parts and suppliesManaging long lead time items Raising orders, liaising with freight forwarders, validating, approving and entering invoices, and calculating landed costs. Maintain adequate stock levels according to maintenance planned scheduling and repairs. Sourcing & setting up new Business Partners (Suppliers) and items in the ERP system. Management of Mex (Maintenance master data) to ensure accurate records. Establish/maintain supplier relationships and evaluate and report on performance. Evaluate and negotiate goods and service contracts with suppliers. Identify and implement cost savings to reduce operational costs. Planning and Scheduling Work Orders for the maintenance department by minimising the impact on production lines. High weekly and daily scheduling adherence. Other duties as directed and within the incumbent’s skills and abilities. The Successful Candidate: Would suit an Engineering Graduate. Ability to interact with International Suppliers. Microsoft Office 365 knowledge. MEX experience is preferred. Strong administration and Excel skills. Prior experience with an ERP system and a similar role is highly regarded. Proven ability to manage working relationships across production, planning, and warehouse operations. Strong planning and organisational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good numerical ability. Ability to work under pressure. A team player.
