PORTER SUPERVISOR Supervise the operations of the Porters section and ensure all facets of the Porters functions are carried out in a professional and efficient manner to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.You will also: Check and update the briefing board/communication book and advise porters on the day’s movements. Ensure all guest luggage, messages, and inter-office messages are delivered promptly and with care. Ensure all guest luggage is stored in a secure manner at all times. Monitor employee performance, coordinate orientation and training for all Porters to develop skills and ensure complete guest satisfaction at all times. Ensure all vehicles are driven by licensed staff and in a safe manner. All vehicles must be maintained in a clean, safe, secure, and operable condition at all times. Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Front Office Manager. Act as a positive influence and work as part of a team. Follow all HIE Work, Health & Safety (WHS) policies and procedures. Undertake any other tasks as directed by your manager. About You You have exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. You display a high commitment to improving customer service. You are confident and capable of effectively delivering group presentations. You have the ability to adapt to a variety of roles within the hospitality industry and possess the enthusiasm to proactively learn and understand the business.You will also have: QLD open/unrestricted manual driver license/eligibility for RSA (Essential). Previous experience and driving skills for maneuvering luggage Utes (Essential). Previous Concierge/Porter experience in a medium/large 4-5 Star hotel (Essential). One year’s experience in a Front Office/Guest Services supervisory role (Desirable).
