Job Description Challenge yourself in the development and execution of procurement strategies across the Qantas Group Leadership role working across an expansive internal and external stakeholder group Permanent role based in either Melbourne or Sydney Qantas Group Procurement is seeking a dynamic Portfolio Category Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with business & commercial objectives. You will lead negotiations with suppliers, ensuring that our contractual arrangements deliver significant commercial benefits to the Qantas Group. As the subject matter expert, you will provide vital commercial advice to support key strategic projects across the Ground Handling services portfolio. In addition to your technical expertise, you will be working closely with key stakeholders to understand relevant needs and objectives across the Qantas Group businesses. You are an experienced procurement professional who can think strategically and have a track record of creating and delivering value within a large, complex, multinational business. You will think innovatively, have deep knowledge of procurement processes to challenge the status quo. As a leader, you will also provide coaching and mentoring to your team, fostering their growth and ensuring they deliver top-tier performance. You’ll have – 10+ years’ experience working in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement or commercial roles within large multi-national organisations Experience in procurement category management, leading large-scale sourcing activities and complex negotiations will be highly regarded Strong leadership skills with demonstrable ability in running cross functional projects/teams, delivering outcomes in a time sensitive environment. High level of commercial acumen, with exceptional negotiation skills and extensive experience in engaging with suppliers Demonstrated the ability to influence and convince stakeholders, build effective business relationships with senior stakeholders Significant experience managing complex workloads and competing priorities, particularly in procurement. Knowledge of airline ground handling and operations categories will be highly beneficial Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree in business or finance and MCIPS qualification Why Qantas?
