Position: Heartland District Service Coordinator Position Title: Heartland District Service Coordinator Position Type: Part Time Description: Purpose: To partner with the Heartland District Council and congregations in seeking to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission. To bring specific ministry gifts to the district in the areas of communication, encouragement, and connecting. Qualifications: Disciple of Jesus Christ Leadership characteristics of 1 Timothy 3:1-12 and Titus 1:6-9 Commitment to LCMC Mission and Core Values Ministry gifts of communication, encouragement, and connecting congregations and leaders Residing in Nebraska or Kansas or near their borders Responsibilities: Attend Heartland District Council meetings and assist the board in carrying out the mission of the Heartland District Maintain a database of district congregations, pastors, and lay leaders Develop and maintain an email marketing system with subscribers from every Heartland District congregation with a goal of reaching over 500 subscribers Edit and distribute the bi-monthly Heartland District newsletter Serve as the primary point of contact for the Heartland District Encourage the development of neighborhood groups within the Heartland District Work with the Heartland District Council to provide semi-annual ministry support events for pastors in contract calls Be available to visit and preach at Heartland District congregations at the request of pastors or church councils Be available to serve as a pastor to the pastors of the Heartland District as requested Welcome new congregations and new pastors to the Heartland District Maintain a list of supply preachers and interim pastors within the Heartland District Maintain a list of call committee coaches and conflict resolution coaches within the Heartland District and facilitate the training of new coaches Attend LCMC Annual Gatherings, the LCMC District Coordinators meeting, and the annual convention of the Heartland District (expenses paid by Heartland District) Encourage congregational support of the mission of the Heartland District #J-18808-Ljbffr
