Description We are seeking a technically adept and detail-oriented Post Production Systems Support Specialist to provide critical support for our editorial, post-production & VFX operations in Melbourne, Victoria on a 12-month fixed term contract. About the role. The ideal candidate will have experience with post production systems, primarily Avid Media Composer, with familiarity in Adobe Premiere and Windows workstations running Nuke, Maya & Houdini. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, an understanding of centralised storage solutions, and responsibility for managing backups and system performance to ensure a seamless post-production workflow experience. Core responsibilities: Provide technical support for edit rooms running Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Troubleshoot and maintain VFX workstations to meet production requirements. Monitor, maintain, and optimise the centralised storage systems (SAN/NAS). Implement and oversee facility backup processes and archival strategies to safeguard media assets. Perform regular maintenance and updates on post-production software and hardware. Assist in maintaining reliable network connections between post-production systems. Work closely with editorial, VFX, and IT teams to ensure efficient media workflows. Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in post-production infrastructure.
