THE ROLE We are looking for x1 Junior and x1 Senior Power Systems Study Managers to join our high performing Brisbane team. This is your opportunity to drive technical excellence, collaborate with industry leaders and shape the future of the National Electricity Market (NEM). As a Study Manager, you will lead technical activities and manage key stakeholder relationships, including Network Service Providers (NSPs), the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and clients. Previous experience overseeing studies related to project connections to the NEM or comprehensive experience in the delivery of multi-discipline engineering projects with a background in an engineering design and/or construction environment will be essential. Experience in high voltage (HV) grid connection engineering projects is an advantage, but not mandatory. In this role, you will coordinate internal and external resources to deliver exceptional project outcomes, while providing expert guidance on generation, HV transmission and distribution projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering quality engineering documentation and solutions that meet industry standards and expectations. The ability to assist with planning and scheduling for engineering activities relating to EPEC’s programme of work and develop cost effective engineering programme solutions will be essential. Experience with any of the following power system analysis tools including PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory and Hypersim in RMS and EMT environments will be advantageous. ABOUT YOU Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (or Bachelor in associated field of Engineering) recognised by Engineers Australia Post-graduate qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or MBA an advantage Experienced in the delivery of high voltage grid connection engineering projects desirable Strong HSEQ focus and passion and commitment for delivery and achieving strong results in areas of commercial performance and customer satisfaction Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels and successfully negotiate with and influence customer and senior level stakeholders in defining project delivery solutions and decisions in line with performance targets Registered Professional Engineer and Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia desirable Capability to adjust and thrive in a fast-evolving business and industry.
