This position is in our Mental Health Recovery Program, which is a one-to-one support service for people diagnosed with a mental health condition who live in independent accommodation. The program assists people in overcoming barriers that get in the way of their efforts to obtain a desired life. The successful applicant will possess demonstrable competency, knowledge, understanding, and/or skills in the following areas: An understanding of the processes people utilize to overcome adversity/distress arising from life challenges. An ability to recognize and understand people’s intrinsic resourcefulness. Provide support in a manner consistent with Anglicare’s values and practice principles. Demonstrate a high level of communication and interpersonal skills with people who access our services, family/carers, colleagues, other service providers, and stakeholders. Ability to accurately document and maintain records. Demonstrated experience with relevant information and communication technologies. Ability to work autonomously within organizational policy and procedure. A high level of professionalism and a willingness to develop and reflect on professional practice. Ability to work in alignment with Anglicare’s workplace principles. Relevant tertiary qualifications (Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, and Allied Health) or extensive experience and qualifications (Diploma of Community Services) deemed equivalent and/or clearly demonstrated experience in Community Services. The successful applicant will be required to: Provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check if you are applying for the first time or have renewed your registration since 1st February 2021; Present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people/probity type National Police Check (no older than 12 months); Provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16; Provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical; Provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.
