Job Description

As Principal Business Manager – Tenancy Services, you will ensure the smooth operation of Tenancy Services by providing business support, workforce and workload management resources and supporting HR and finance management tasks.You will be responsible for providing high level advice to the Manager, Tenancy Services on strategic, operational and corporate governance issues. You will play a role in supporting the operations of Tenancy Services, Delivery, to ensure quality, professional services and support to senior tenancy staff and the Manager, Tenancy Services.What You Will Be Doing Provide leadership, direction and supervision to the Tenancy Senior Customer Service Managers, including finance, travel, administration, and employee workforce matters, and undertake special projects of a complex/sensitive nature. Support the Manager, Tenancy Services, with handling a high volume of requests, using initiative and significant levels of independent judgement in solving urgent and emerging issues with limited direction, including sensitive issues and providing high level support and advice. Coordinate and prepare submissions, reports, briefs and correspondence; for the Manager, Tenancy Services and undertake analysis, research and evaluation to support this work. Establish and maintain productive working relationships within the division, across the division, across the department and Queensland Government. Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations. Understand, support and promote the organisation's vision, mission, and business objectives. You will be able to identify the relationship between organisational goals and operational tasks. You will be able to clearly communicate goals and objectives to others. Demonstrate business acumen in the areas of governance and remote service delivery to First Nations peoples and applying that expertise to support housing outcomes. Effectively manage new and unexpected events, demonstrating self-direction and judgement about when to escalate issues. Provide clear and concise written and verbal communication. You model open communication, actively and attentively listening to others. Demonstrate a strong understanding and extensive experience in supporting senior leaders in an everchanging fast and dynamic environment. Mandatory Requirement Intrastate travel including overnight stays in remote communities for up to 4 days may be required. A current and valid Driver's Licence.
