The Opportunity: As the Principal Consultant, Competency & Learning, you will play a strategic role in shaping and leading the design and delivery of innovative learning solutions across the organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement competency frameworks and training programs that ensure employees possess the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in their roles. You will lead efforts to close skill gaps, enhance workforce capabilities, and support organisational goals by fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. This position will also see you managing subcontractors, developing e-learning content for clients, and collaborating with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives. The role is based at our Brisbane CBD location, and we also welcome a hybrid flexible working model. Spearhead the creation of engaging, effective, and interactive blended learning solutions tailored to end users undertaking technical facilitated and digital learning. Lead and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and presentations, driving the development of critical skills, knowledge, and competencies. Collaborate with HR departments, senior managers, and key stakeholders to understand strategic business priorities and ensure training programs align with organisational goals. Develop and refine competency frameworks that support career progression and organisational capability. Manage subcontractors to ensure the delivery of high-quality, client-focused learning solutions, meeting agreed timescales and budgets. Develop bespoke e-learning content for clients, ensuring it meets their specific needs and enables their trainers to effectively train their employees. Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of training programs, recommending enhancements to achieve optimal results. Produce key artifacts such as training documentation, project plans, and reports to support program delivery. Ensure client needs are thoroughly understood, and deliver tailored training content that aligns with their requirements and objectives. Must Have: TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development. Experience in managing budgets, subcontractors, and timescales to ensure successful project delivery. Strong knowledge of Australian Quality Framework (AQF) Standards, Vocational Education and Training (VET) Levels, and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) requirements. A strong understanding of Adult Learning Principles and the Learner Experience with a TAE16 qualification or degree in Adult Learning highly desirable.
