Principal Consultant (Project Controls Specialist) Originating from over 25 years of local, national, and international experience in the delivery and management of major projects and capital-intensive assets, bpma Australia Pty. Ideally looking for / Key Deliverables You must have demonstrable experience in the implementation and management of project management and project control solutions on major, complex infrastructure, utilities and technology projects. Able to lead and manage teams in the delivery of the related activities, including scheduling, cost control, contracts admin, risk management, document control, and project reporting – from project initiation through to project completion and handover. Ability to review and evaluate existing project management systems, processes, policies, and tools. Develop and implement strategies to ensure they are fit-for-purpose throughout the project life cycle, whilst seeking ways to continually improve the quality of their outputs. Understand the dynamics of and able to implement robust project governance frameworks and change control processes that clearly articulate roles, responsibilities and accountabilities within a project and provide clear procedures for decision-making and approvals. The aptitude and knowledge to be able to engage and communicate clearly with clients, senior executives, project leadership teams and other key stakeholders in a constructive and positive manner. About you We’re looking for someone who has a strong sense of purpose, is comfortable communicating with a wide range of people; and, is solution-driven, with an attention to detail. We'd love to see applications from people with the following attributes: +15 years of project management and project control experience, including the implementation of related systems and solutions. +10 years of successfully leading and managing project control teams. Degree qualified, preferably with an Engineering, Business or Technology background. Must have worked on major infrastructure, utilities and/or technology projects i.e. Project value over AUD$250 million. Expert knowledge of and the ability to implement project management systems, such as Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM, Oracle Aconex etc. A positive attitude and willingness to take on any reasonable work-related tasks, especially when working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
