Principal Data Consultant (Sydney or Melbourne) DiUS brings together the best of technology consulting and product development. We are on the lookout for a passionate data expert who will be at the heart of our data ecosystem and ready to help nurture and grow opportunities, lead clients through their data discovery, as well as mature our team capability. In this role, you’ll be able to blend strategy, client advisory and hands-on data engineering, across multiple clients as we lead them through data discovery and implementation. Responsibilities: Navigating clients through their data vision and providing guidance on data strategy, data architecture and data governance. Pre-sales support including discovery workshops, client presentations and proof-of-concept designs. Nurture and grow business opportunities. Designing, developing, testing, documenting and maintaining data models, reports and dashboards, and data pipelines that meet business needs and requirements. Data Engineering on a variety of data projects and delivering client outcomes. Qualifications: A background in software development and data engineering, ideally within consulting or project-oriented environments. Knowledge & experience in data infrastructure and data architecture & big data frameworks. A strong track record of delivery on a variety of data consulting projects across data strategy, data architecture and data governance. Confidence to guide clients on leveraging their data assets, including recommendations for analytics tools, machine learning applications, and data monetisation strategies. Strong client stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging C-level executives, IT teams, and business units. Demonstrated ability to understand complex business problems, craft innovative data-driven solutions, and measurably improve our clients' operations.
