Due to strong growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, Mott MacDonald's Building team has an exciting opening for a Principal Facade Engineering Professional in the Sydney office. You will be joining a diverse and passionate team with a proven track record delivering major projects across Australia. As a Facade Engineer in the built environment space, you will be working on significant urban development and precinct type projects that shape the communities in which we live. With a focus on social and environmental outcomes, our team works across a range of sectors including arts and culture, commercial, civic, education, transport, and hospital. Key Responsibilities: Manage and deliver façade projects in a technically competent and timely manner. Review specialist contractor submissions. Foster and maintain strong client relationships with new and existing clients, architects, and contractors. Develop façade documentation and specifications to a high level of quality. Contribute to bid writing and the winning of work. Supervise and mentor other design staff, checking and approving documentation for issue. About You: Chartered Engineer with a degree in civil/structural engineering or a related field. Significant experience within façade design with particular emphasis on the structural aspects of façade design, durability, material selection, and design for weathertightness. Working knowledge of structural analysis software (preferably Strand 7). Possess a high level of design creativity with the ability to develop technically robust façade concepts whilst maintaining a strong focus on the design intent. Commercially aware with the ability to successfully lead façade projects through all phases whilst managing and developing strong client relationships.
