This pivotal position involves delivering financial insights, forecasts, and analysis to drive strategic decision-making and optimise financial performance. The focus of this role will be to elevate its performance and outputs from a relatively low base. The role requires an experienced and strategic Financial Planning Analyst who knows what ‘good looks like’. The role includes managing a small team of two Analysts, both of whom have significant potential to become major assets to the organisation. The Principal will fully harness and develop this potential. Additionally, the role will require engaging with and influencing key stakeholders across the business, including members of the local leadership team and stakeholders in the various countries in which the organisation operates. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the FP&A function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. Develop and deliver financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making processes. Analyse financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities to improve business outcomes. Collaborate with business units to provide actionable insights and ensure alignment with organisational goals. Drive continuous improvement in financial planning processes, tools, and methodologies. Prepare and present detailed reports and dashboards to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Monitor key financial metrics and provide recommendations to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives through financial due diligence and analysis. Ideal Qualifications, Background, and Attributes: A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CPA/CA/CIMA qualification is preferred). Proven experience in financial planning and analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in financial modelling and forecasting. Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Hyperion, or similar). Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. A strategic thinker with a focus on delivering value and driving results.
