Our Health Service is expanding and so is our Ripley Minor Injury and Illness Clinic Team! Ripley Satellite Hospital is a brand-new purpose-built health facility located within a residential community setting. The Minor Injury Illness Clinic located at the Ripley Satellite Hospital aims to address the increased pressure on conventional Emergency Departments by developing an innovative, patient-centered model of care that brings health care closer to communities. The Clinic will provide urgent, non-scheduled, episodic care to patients presenting with low acuity injuries and illnesses that do not require traditional Hospital Based Emergency Department intervention or overnight hospitalization. This requires an applicant who can provide primary health care and emergency medicine, despite limited onsite investigations available. This position is based at the Ripley Satellite Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a new facility, providing high-quality acute primary care medical services in West Moreton Health. The Principal House Officer provides clinical services in a service that is innovative, encourages participation in treatment and care aimed at achieving demonstrable improvement in patient outcomes. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Passion for providing excellent clinical care to your community as a Principal House Officer. Experience in delivering quality care in a primary care environment, outpatient setting, and an Emergency Department across a variety of acuity and care needs. Knowledge and practical application of the National Quality & Safety Standards through the delivery of safe and quality-focused patient-centered care. Excellent communication and teamwork skills across a variety of settings including in an emergency. Mandatory Requirements: Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
