Principal Product & Service Manager - Driver Safety Department of Transport and Planning Applications close Thursday 20 February 2025 at 11.59PM Overview Work type: Ongoing - Full Time Salary: $182,813 - $248,629 Grade: STS7 Occupation: Other Location: CBD Reference: 6090About the Role Reporting to the Director - Service Reform & Portfolio Management, this role is responsible for product and service delivery for the Driver Safety and Data portfolios. This role will apply product and service design capabilities holistically across the Driver Safety program and provide support to the Joint Venture with the delivery of transformational activities relative to their portfolio. Manage and provide holistic oversight of products and services for Driver Safety ensuring products and services deliver transformational outcomes and regulatory compliance. Provide specialist and highly influential advice to senior stakeholders relating to product and service management that will inform strategic decisions for transformation of products and services. Keep abreast of and respond to emerging issues in the industry to effectively contribute to the development and implementation of a strategic business plan. Exercise independent judgement in extensive planning and work scheduling matters across a range of program and service delivery teams. Build strong working relationships and apply innovative and specialist problem solving skills to resolve complex issues. Lead and champion programs that ensure customer service standards, guidelines and strategies meet government and organisational expectations in relation to Driver Safety and Data. Key Selection Criteria ThePrincipal Product & Service Manager – Driver Safety will be capable of translating strategic direction into actionable plans, ensuring alignment with departmental priorities. You will be able to manage diverse and often competing stakeholder needs, facilitating innovative solutions to complex issues. With expertise in project and program governance, you will establish effective frameworks that ensure compliance and drive successful outcomes. Strong leadership in managing people is essential, including the ability to anticipate and resolve challenges to maintain team performance. The role requires a deep understanding of the political and organisational landscape, using strategic relationships and insights to navigate potential impacts on the department. A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation is vital, ensuring that best practices and expertise are shared to enhance service delivery. To be truly successful you will demonstrate a collaborative approach, proactively identifying and addressing barriers to knowledge sharing. You must also exhibit flexibility and adaptability, adjusting strategies when needed to achieve the best outcomes, even in high-investment or high-effort initiatives.
