Job Description

Child Safety, Seniors and Disabilities Strategic Projects Reform and Innovation; Disability Accommodation Respite & Forensic Services; Brisbane The Principal Program Officer will lead and manage the delivery of a number of initiatives to progress the department as a recently registered NDIS provider of disability supports. Your work will ensure compliance with NDIS Standards and align to Queensland Government commitments and legislation.In this role, you will operate in a dynamic environment and collaborate with others to achieve objectives.You will provide timely and effective advice on operational, service delivery and procedural issues to ensure the department achieves desired outcomes in the provision of its AS&RS service.This position will require a blend of strategic thinking, the ability to understand operational requirements, and strong leadership skills. Some of your key responsibilities as Principal Program Officer will include: Identifying, leading and implementing comprehensive initiatives, including risk management and mitigation strategies. Utilising data to drive continuous improvement and inform future project planning. Collaborative approach to ensure the department's continued capacity to deliver and maintain quality NDIS service provision. Providing high level advice (written and verbal), analysis and direction to various stakeholders in relation to service delivery initiatives. Establishing governance and tracking protocols. The preparation of high-level communication including a range of written materials such as, briefing material, procedures, information/decision papers, cabinet submissions and executive correspondence. Actively contributing to building and maintaining a positive, inclusive and results-oriented culture within the work area and the broader department. Ensuring compliance with AS&RS Governance Structures, supporting quality outcomes for staff and participants through the delivery of quality services and continuous improvement.
