Agriculture and Fisheries (Organisation site)Operations; National Fire Ant Eradication Program; Biosecurity Queensland; See Role Description for details Find purpose you feel, impact you see and a legacy you bring to life. #DAFcareers As our Principal Project Officer within our Operations Division, you will: Review Program operational processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Lead and coordinate quality, efficiency projects and activities to improve productivity through continuous best practice and improvement. Gather required information using system metrics, internal audit results and infield knowledge to draft a comprehensive plan to improve efficiencies and cost-effectiveness in Program operations. Work with relevant stakeholders to establish benchmarks and measurement tools to assess the impact of efficiency measures implemented. Compile data from business systems and in-field assessments and undertake analysis to inform managers' deliberations about business performance metrics and possibilities for improvement. Design and prepare efficiency reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations, and recommendations about improvements to current business systems and processes with particular emphasis on maximizing the utility of existing systems. Alert managers, colleagues, and other relevant stakeholders about flow-on impacts and implications of operational activities on other areas of the business including obstacles and opportunities for improvement. Support operational managers and other business stakeholders to ensure process changes are negotiated and managed to deliver improvements. Contribute to the development and communication of strategies, policies, procedures, and plans to promote best practice in business processes to support efficiency at all levels of the business enterprise. Support West operations with strategic forward planning and contribute to operational strategy and other work duties and tasks as instructed by the Manager Operations (West). You may also have • An understanding of biosecurity or emergency response activities and/or experience in applying your capabilities in a response environment will be highly regarded.
