The Opportunity As we continue our strong growth in the water sector, we are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join us in Sydney and be part of our national water and industrial business. This role will see you utilise your extensive experience in water and wastewater structural design for conveyance pipelines, hydraulic structures, pump stations, service reservoirs, and water facilities. It will also provide an opportunity to build strong client relationships and demonstrate your ability to understand our client's core business. You will lead the provision of solutions and services to clients to solve some of the critical challenges that they are facing. As a Principal, you will be a key leader in the Sydney Structural team and drive successful outcomes by leveraging and leading the rest of the team to deliver project outcomes. About You You will be a Chartered Professional Engineer with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and have gained a strong understanding of water/wastewater industry standards and best practices on site and within a professional services environment. Highly organised with outstanding technical and communication skills, you’ll have the desire and ability to lead and mentor a team and drive successful project outcomes for our clients. You will also have: Expertise in various aspects of structural engineering including study involvement, budget, schedule and scope, development, detailed design, analysis, construction/commissioning phase support, and troubleshooting of structural systems. Extensive experience delivering water and wastewater projects in accordance with Australian requirements. Experience in the scoping and development of engineering work packages including time-based estimates for deliverables. An interest in and experience in strengthening and growing existing client connections and supporting the building of relevant new relationships, as a trusted technical advisor. Showing an ability to understand our client's core business and ensure that services meet their expectations.
