Start Date: ASAP. Contract length: 12 months with extension options. Work Model: Full-time at the NTT's office in Canberra. Must be an Australian Citizen with a current Australian NV2 security clearance. We are looking for a highly experienced network engineer with strong optical skills , capable of managing complex technical environments, leading teams, and engaging with clients. The candidate should have a solid background in networking technologies and be able to work full-time in Canberra with the required NV2 security clearance. Responsibilities: Manage architecture, design, integration, deployment, configuration, and fault management in complex tech environments. Write clear technical specifications and explain different options. Develop backup plans. Work towards expert-level certification and improve business knowledge. Engage with clients on-site and remotely. Delegate tasks and coordinate junior engineers. Prepare reports and maintain project documentation. Suggest improvements to procedures. Mentor and coach engineers. Participate in complex solutions and contribute to design and implementation. Work independently and take ownership of relevant technologies. Monitor work quality and recommend improvements. Liaise with vendors for priority issues. Perform other related tasks. Significant experience in networking technologies, particularly: EVPN (Ethernet VPN) MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) / Segment Routing Overlay/Underlay WAN technologies DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) optical transport Requirements: Must be an Australian Citizen with a current NV2 Australian security clearance. Ability to work full-time from the client’s site in Canberra. Strong understanding of technical solution design and business principles. Proven project management skills demonstrated through successful installations and assignments. Extensive experience in technical implementation engineering. Strong skills in enterprise systems and solutions with multiple vendors' technologies. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: Professional certifications in networking technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).
