Job Description Reporting to the Manager, Environmental Approvals the Principal Tenure Management will: Serve as the designated Authorised Holder's Representative (AHR) Agent, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and organisational protocols. Execute comprehensive management of mining tenements, including application processes, maintenance, and compliance monitoring. Implement and oversee robust tenure management strategies aligned with organisational objectives and legislative frameworks. Provide authoritative guidance and expertise regarding mining tenement processes and legislative requirements. Establish and maintain critical stakeholder relationships, including government authorities and internal departments. Develop and maintain detailed compliance documentation and reporting systems. Conduct thorough assessments of tenure-related risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. Lead complex tenure-related projects, ensuring delivery within prescribed timeframes and compliance parameters. Monitor and analyse legislative changes that may impact tenure management operations. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of tenure management with operational requirements. Qualifications To be a success it is expected you will have: A Bachelor’s degree in mine planning, geology, engineering, law, environmental science or equivalent. At least 5 years' experience in similar roles within mining or other resource industries. Demonstrated understanding of tenement legislation relevant to the mining sector in Queensland (or ability to rapidly obtain an understanding of). Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and GIS mapping. Proven experience in provision of advice about mining tenement processes particularly about legislative and site requirements. Ability to work autonomously and manage workflows effectively.
