Job Description

Queensland Ambulance Service (Organisation site)Human Resources; Office of the Deputy Commissioner Corp Services; Head Office; Kedron The Principal Workforce Data Analyst is responsible for leading the preparation and delivery of critical data analytics to support management and staff across the QAS. Utilising a range of tools and technologies, the role provides high level internal support, and seeks to continuously improve the delivery of workforce metrics relating to establishment management, payroll, recruitment and finance.In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the QAS to design contemporary Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights, improving employee wellbeing and organisational performance. We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes: Proven success in the preparation and delivery of contemporary HR and workforce analytics; including the research, analysis and interpretation of workforce information and trends within a complex organisational environment. Demonstrated high level skills and ability to strategically plan, coordinate and implement accurate and timely data design, collection, analysis and practical reporting solutions, using analytical tools and business intelligence systems. Demonstrated experience in programming languages (e.g., SQL, DAX, M Query) and Power BI and the proven ability to build, query and validate datasets, to produce a range of data visualisation outputs (e.g., Advanced MS Excel, Power BI). Demonstrated highly developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare high level strategic documents incorporating workforce information, and provide authoritative advice and recommendations to senior management. Demonstrated ability to build collaborative working relationships and effectively liaise, advise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to translate to technical solutions and achieve organisational goals and objectives.
