ProServe Cloud Architect, AWS Professional Services Public Sector Employer: Amazon Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Salary: Competitive Closing date: 27 Mar 2025 Sector: Construction and Building Services, Technology Role: Professional Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Full Time DESCRIPTION Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring ProServe Cloud Architect (PCA) in our Customer Segment Professional Services group. The ProServe Cloud Architect (PCA) is a growth role within the Professional Services umbrella, and is principally oriented around a qualify-deliver-manage model. The PCA is responsible for partnering with the Professional Services leadership to dive deep into enterprise customer's business challenges, to collaboratively propose and pre-qualify a particular set of outcomes that would result from a formal Professional Services engagement. Thereafter, the PCA remains meaningfully engaged with that customer, Amazon team and project/program to ensure high-value, predictable, and successful delivery.In this PCA role, individuals are responsible for designing and proactively driving specialized solutions through Professional Services Go-To-Market, selling, and delivery mechanisms, all guided based on direct customer feedback. The PCA will work cross-functionally with other AWS field roles to create alignment on solution customer value, effort, and transformational plans.This is not a pure consultant role, nor is it a pure selling role. It is an individual with a unique hybrid of AWS platform expertise and hands-on building, coupled with cross-industry business acumen, including a heavy dose of passion for continued knowledge acquisition and growth, obsession for customers, and their success using AWS that will align well with the desired outcomes to be produced.Clearance: This position requires that the candidate selected will be an Australian Citizen that either holds or will be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 2 (AGSVA) security clearance.Key job responsibilities Develop C-suite and line-of-business relationships within customer organizations. Influence and guide senior customer executives on innovation and cloud practices. Engage customers and collaborate with enterprise sales managers to develop strong customer and partner relationships and build a growing business. Leverage customer feedback to design and evolve industry-wide, high-value specialized solutions. Sell consulting engagements through proving the value of AWS services to support new distributed computing models tailored to an industry. Coach, teach, and collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services. Deliver value by leading high-quality delivery of a variety of customized engagements with partners and enterprise customers in the commercial and public sectors. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years of consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience. 10+ years of IT platform implementation in a technical and analytical role experience. Experience in external or internal customer-facing, complex and large-scale project management. Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience. Broad-based understanding of cloud platform services, cloud-native architectures, and cloud infrastructure. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience as technical specialist in design and architecture. Visible thought leadership in digital transformation and innovation domains. Experience with design of modern, scalable delivery models for technology consulting services. Business development experience including complex agreements with integrators and ISVs.
