Job Description

Global Company is seeking a talented Process Engineer with a passion for automation and a background in the automotive industry to join their dynamic team. Role Highlights: Engineering New Processes: Develop and implement new processes for equipment, including researching state-of-the-art methods, evaluating options, conducting feasibility studies, validating processes, and performing capability studies and GR&R where applicable. Continuous Improvement Support: Provide engineering support for continuous improvement activities related to installed equipment. Collaboration: Work closely with program management, the equipment manufacturing group, the design team, administration, and suppliers to ensure timely project completion. Documentation: Maintain process engineering documentation, including setup instructions, parameter sheets, capability analysis. Debugging and Implementation: Debug, run-off, and implement cell-based manufacturing equipment in collaboration with customer plant quality and manufacturing engineering teams. Performance Testing: Complete run-at-rate process performance testing in conjunction with manufacturing operations. Problem-Solving: Identify complex technical issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. Skill Development: Develop expertise and functional leadership in engineering principles, scientific analysis, continuous improvement, and project management. Technology Monitoring: Stay updated on innovative technologies to improve quality and efficiency. Standards Adherence: Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in developing automated systems, specifically for automotive powertrain applications and high-precision components. Expertise in processes such as press operations, vision systems, non-destructive testing (NDT), linear measuring systems, fastening (bolt installation), and leak testing. Experience in assembly processes, assembly lines. Education: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. Software Skills: Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of process engineering disciplines. Automation Experience: Proficiency with robotic cells and automated machines.
