Reporting to the Coordinator Strategic Procurement, the role contributes to driving best practice procurement advice and ensures effective procurement processes. It provides quotation, tendering, and contract support services to the organisation in relation to goods, services, and works. Additionally, the role will be involved in special procurement-related projects that promote best practice, policy improvements, and training of staff across the organisation. The Procurement Business Partner drives a culture of service excellence, encouraging new and different approaches and solutions that deliver benefits beyond client and stakeholder expectations. A little bit about you You have demonstrated knowledge of procurement and purchasing practices and procedures in a local or state government context. Along with this, you have demonstrated experience providing authoritative procurement guidance and support on tender and quote processes for a wide range of goods and services. You bring experience in supporting tender processes and contract documents including specifications, conditions of contract, and conditions of tendering. As a strong communicator, you build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and can prepare procurement documents in a readily understandable way to non-procurement specialists. Being a whiz with Microsoft applications and understanding procurement systems will set you up in good stead for this role.
