The Procurement Category Manager Indirects is a contract role with potential to go permanent. About the Role Reporting to the Director Procurement, the Category Manager for Indirects will have accountability for a diverse portfolio of indirect spend, work on tactical projects, and get involved in supplier reviews, contracts management, sourcing and management of contracting/sub-contracting services, and providing additional support to the global procurement team. Key Responsibilities Category Management - manage and optimise a portfolio of indirect spend categories, ensuring cost efficiency and business value. Supplier & Contract Management - conduct supplier reviews, negotiate contracts, and develop strong vendor relationships to enhance service delivery. Sourcing & Procurement Strategy - identify cost-saving opportunities, manage sourcing projects, and ensure best-in-class procurement practices. Competitive Bidding Initiative - play a key role in executing competitive bidding processes, ensuring transparency and value-driven supplier selection. Operational & Commercial Impact - work closely with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategy with business objectives, ensuring seamless service centre operations. Process Improvement - identify and implement opportunities to drive efficiencies, reduce costs, and enhance procurement operations. What We’re Looking For We are looking for a Procurement Category Manager (or similar) who has worked in a manufacturing environment in any industry. You will have demonstrated experience with a diverse mix of indirect categories and be able to bring to life your expertise in delivering value and business outcomes through the development and management of supplier relationships and good procurement practices. You will be pragmatic in approach, have a good level of commercial, operational and strategic thinking, and the ability to make an impact quickly, and be effective at building connection with stakeholders to create business partnerships and deliver business outcomes.
