As a Procurement Lead for Packaging ANZ based in Clayton Victoria , you will report to the Senior Procurement Manager ANZ. You will define and implement strategies for the packaging category across ANZ by administering contracts, ensuring best value for money and strengthening stakeholder relationships to improve operational and business goals. Responsibilities: Awareness and application of PPG’s EH&S policy regarding all packaging as well as safe working procedures in the office environment. Ensuring product stewardship principles are applied to supplier products as well as internal processes by considering community and environmental factors in all purchases. Contract management and negotiation to secure the most advantageous terms through bidding, vendor sourcing, etc. Identify and implement improvement projects within the packaging category. Contribute to consolidation, reduction, and rationalization of the local supplier base. Understanding and keeping up with new trends and regulations in the region. Coordinate the performance reviews for all significant contracts quarterly. Act as the escalation point for supply issues of packaging in ANZ. Ensure contracts are managed in a cost-effective and efficient manner within contract parameters. Ensure performance results and activities are communicated weekly, monthly, and quarterly to all stakeholders. Manage the day-to-day relationships with external providers and internal stakeholders. Work in close collaboration with all SBU’s, supply and operations teams to ensure 'total business' decisions with effective and efficient management of product supply to the market. Ensure active commitment to PPG policy and best practice. Work closely with Regional and global purchasing/packaging teams. Qualifications: 5 years working experience in packaging procurement, or related roles; experience in a global, manufacturing or chemical business will be preferred. Problem solving, root cause and analytical skills. Strategic thinking that complements the broader business strategy in the region. Financial and data acumen.
