Reporting to the Procurement Manager SSN AUKUS and supporting the SSN-AUKUS Supply Chain Management team, you will play a crucial role in managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, conducting sourcing activities, and implementing procurement strategies for the SSN-AUKUS Program to ensure the successful execution of procurement requirements within your delegated authority. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Australia's sovereign submarine capabilities. This role is a full-time Permanent opportunity. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage procurement and supply chain strategies. Negotiate and manage contracts related to the SCY and Build Readiness scope. Establish and maintain internal and external relationships to meet program requirements. Support the development of mobilisation deliverables and supply chain management plans. Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement and supply chain activities. Ensure compliance with ASC governance requirements and defence procurement policies. Coach and support procurement staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment. About you Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant procurement or supply chain role within a related industry. Appropriate tertiary qualifications such as business, law, engineering or supply chain (Desirable) Proven experience in contract establishment and management, including negotiations and contract law. Strong knowledge of applicable laws related to procurement, such as insurance, legal processes, intellectual property, and warranties. Experience with major defence contracts in a contractual and commercial capacity. Familiarity with the ASDEFCON framework. Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt strategies in response to changing market conditions and organisational needs. Eligibility and Requirements This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance. Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
