Procurement Specialist - Indirect Sourcing Procurement Support Specialist - Indirect Sourcing Location: ANZ Summary: Working Primary Function: Work closely with Category Managers to provide procurement support across all divisions. Execute purchasing and supply management strategies, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Manage operational and tactical activities of the local procurement function across various categories. Ensure compliance with procurement processes, complete associated documentation, and lead supplier negotiations. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and added value for the divisions. Key Responsibilities: Manage the process in line with SOPs, ensuring timely completion. Support Regional Category Managers in executing category strategies. Address day-to-day procurement operations, including problem-solving and communication with stakeholders and suppliers. Lead supplier selection and negotiations, supporting the Preferred Supplier Program. Drive cost-saving initiatives and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance procurement processes. Conduct training on procurement processes and policies as needed. Maintain a reliable list of accredited suppliers. Ensure supplier accreditation complies with Global Procurement, QA, and OEC standards. Review and approve new vendor requests and manage supplier performance. Strategic & Relationship Management: Implement and manage category-specific purchasing strategies. Regularly meet with divisional customers and support functions to ensure high customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. Compliance & Accountability: Ensure adherence to corporate and divisional policies and procedures. Drive innovation to enhance procurement processes, cycle times, and customer service. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or Financial disciplines. Must have indirect sourcing experience, if you do not then you will not be considered for this role. 3 plus years of procurement experience, including contract management and vendor relations. Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Experience in sourcing and procurement in a multinational corporation, ideally in the healthcare sector. Attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and within a team under pressure.
