About the OPPORTUNITY We have a new opportunity for a Procurement & Subcontract Specialist to join our Maritime Sustainment program based at Osborne, Adelaide reporting to the Procurement & Subcontract Manager. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for forging strong supplier relationships, developing sourcing and tender strategies, negotiating subcontracts and overseeing contracts to ensure timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and quality excellence. This role is based at our Osborne Shipyard SA Office. Key responsibilities include: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to secure the best value for the business. Build strong relationships with suppliers and manage performance to achieve optimal results. Lead complex negotiations and finalize contracts to protect the organization's interests. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to reduce expenses. Manage the entire procurement process, from sourcing, tendering to contract management. About YOU Demonstrated expertise in procurement and supply chain management, including negotiation & full procurement lifecycle. A talent for developing and implementing innovative sourcing strategies to maximize value. Talented in collaborating effectively & seamlessly with diverse teams. Proven ability to drive supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and quality. Understanding of commercial contracts, payment structures, and risk management.
