Business Manager at Hays - Procurement Permanent Role Up to $160k - 165k plus super Location: SYDNEY Your new company A well established Financial services company that provides financial institutions with a broad range of services including insurance, mortgages, and administration. Your new role Be responsible for the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) procurement category management and Vendor management within Cloud Infrastructure. This role requires the development of Category Plans, subsequent sourcing/negotiation initiatives, and ongoing management of the existing contract portfolio and vendors. Experience with cloud providers like Microsoft, AWS, or Google is essential, especially in understanding performance metrics like Service Levels and KPIs. Key Responsibilities: Manage vendor relations and performance, including SLA governance within Cloud Infrastructure. Implement and manage vendor governance frameworks and supplier review processes. Act as a bridge between external vendors and internal stakeholders. Develop and implement Category plans, sourcing strategies, and negotiation strategies. Define supply models for each category and establish competitive contracts with appropriate SLAs. Determine roles and responsibilities between Technology Procurement & Vendor Management and stakeholders within T&T. Interpret T&Cs, resolve escalated vendor disputes, and work with T&T Domains to address supplier performance and governance issues. What you'll need to succeed Experience in vendor management or procurement. Essential experience managing cloud hyperscale providers like Microsoft, AWS, or Google. Highly favorable: previous experience with Microsoft enterprise negotiations and knowledge of Microsoft contract structures. Experience in large, complex organisations; insurance industry background is a plus. Experience in a centralised procurement/commercial environment serving a broad customer base. Experience in strategy setting roles, preferably commercial. Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and deliver quality outputs within tight timeframes.
