We grow, store, pack and distribute fresh fruit and vegetables to various retailers across Australia.We see our staff, customers, and clients as part of our family- with generations working alongside each other towards a positive future.The Role We are seeking a self-motivated hands-on Product Examiner to join our team in a dynamic, fast paced fruit processing environment.Full-time permanent salaried position. 38 hours per week Monday to Friday. Operation hours vary between 6:30am and 5pm. Located at 376A Lobethal Road Ashton SA 5137. Salary between $65,000.00 and $80,000.00. More than one position available. Must be available to work weekends and nights as required. Primary Purpose / Duties Ensure product quality standards are maintained to customer specifications. Perform a variety of quality checks to specified standards. In-line and post-packing quality checks. Pre-dispatch checks. Complete all documentation relating to quality checks, on a batch-by-batch basis, on the relevant systems. Perform daily equipment checks, with records kept on appropriate forms. Cleanliness of QC stations/trolleys, including all equipment used for quality checking. Be always conscious of food safety when handling fruit. Assist in training of new staff on packing process and duties, as well as quality awareness. Preparation and labelling of stock for dispatch. Perform other duties as directed by management. Comply with company WH&S standards and policies. Key Attributes Have excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships and liaise with key stakeholders. Commitment to continuous improvement and learning. Self-motivated and ability to function autonomously. Ability to effectively complete hands-on tasks and computer-based admin tasks. Personal attributes: Outcome driven, organised, proactive, and planning skills. Qualifications And Experience Relevant Cert II level qualifications or higher. Demonstrate at least one year experience in a related field, or two years experience in the last 3 years if no relevant qualification held. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Experience in the food and beverage industry, including leadership roles and machine operation; Forklift licence and basic mechanical understanding are desirable.
