The Opportunity With continuous strong growth of the business in Australia, our client is looking for a passionate and motivated Engineer who is interested in taking up a challenging role in a diverse Renewable Energy environment. You will join the team as their Product Installation Engineer (focusing on product installation) on one of their Utility-scale Solar Farm projects in Horsham, VIC. This is an office-based position in Horsham, VIC with sporadic site visits. You will report to the Product Manager. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Product Manager in overseeing the installation of solar panels, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations. Inspect solar panels and take pictures of any broken panels if necessary. Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams, addressing any issues or challenges during installation. Conduct regular inspections and testing of solar panels to verify performance and functionality. Prepare comprehensive commissioning reports and documentation when necessary. Maintain regular communication with the project team, providing project updates and addressing concerns. Daily reporting of installation progress with detailed information on both good installation practices and non-compliant installations (if any). Keep a record of defective/broken module information, including series number, defect category, potential reasons for such defects, and photos. Facilitate communication between the manufacturer and the EPC Site Manager. Selection Criteria With a strong sense of responsibility, multitasking abilities, and coordination skills, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams, as well as: Must currently be living in Horsham. Engineering degree qualified (Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related). Familiarity with the Renewable industry, preferably with previous experience in solar system installation and/or design. Basic electrical knowledge and willingness to learn detailed information about solar modules. Experience in project delivery will be seen as an advantage. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Proficient in MS Office, with excellent Excel capability.
