About the role Join Vocus in this exciting and newly created role for a 12-month maximum term contract which can be based in our Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane offices! Reporting to the Product Lifecycle and Operations Lead, the Product Lifecycle Specialist is responsible for identifying, defining, documenting, gaining approval for, and overseeing lifecycle initiatives designed to minimise risk, reduce complexity, and enhance overall product performance. As Product Lifecycle Specialist, you’ll be a key contributor in planning, prioritising and managing a lifecycle improvement program to optimise the performance of business across our portfolio of products. You’ll have a strong analytical and strategic planning background coupled with broad industry experience, this role will work in partnership with domain product, engineering and sales teams to evolve the ongoing planning & lifecycle roadmap for the VNS portfolio in line with the overall company strategy. By successfully executing a multi-year lifecycle program, the role will help drive differentiation and competitive advantage through: Developing a high-quality, profitable product portfolio Streamlining processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness Supporting scalable, integrated infrastructure Enabling the rapid and flexible delivery of innovative new products to market What you’ll be doing day-to-day Proposing and managing complex and multidisciplinary product lifecycle initiatives from design, collateral preparation, data collection and approval to training and implementation ensuring completion to timescales and budgets. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, including process optimizations and the integration of automation and AI capabilities. Coordinating with different business heads for initiating and monitoring progress of ongoing projects and report on project parameters and milestones to senior management. Overseeing the analysis of product and market data, developing models to support portfolio optimisation efforts. Ensuring that market and customer insights are effectively leveraged to inform both strategic and tactical recommendations for product portfolio development. What you’ll bring to this role Require a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, product and program management, and the telecommunications and technology industries. Relevant Business Analysis certifications coupled with a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Technology, or a related field. Proven experience leading product initiatives within a telecommunications or technology-focused organization. Business Analytical skills or experience in the telecommunications sector or technology focused organisation. Familiarity with product management methodologies, scaled agile frameworks, and business process/service management approaches (e.g., ITIL, Six Sigma). Experience leveraging data analysis tools, dashboards, and KPIs for decision-making and continuous improvement. Demonstrates an agile or growth mindset when approaching challenges and changes, fostering a culture of development and empowerment. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with initiative, self-motivation, and accountability. Skilled in analytical and conceptual thinking for operations and systems planning. Insight into industry trends and encourages creativity. Simplifies complex processes with a customer-centric focus and proven relationship-building skills. Skilled at coaching and mentoring and sensitive to underlying issues and interpersonal dynamics.
