Role Description: This is a full-time hybrid role for a Product Owner - Realtime Payments at P8.io located in Melbourne, VIC with the possibility of working from home few days a week. The Product Owner will be responsible for overseeing real-time payment solutions, coordinating with development teams, and ensuring product alignment with business goals. They will also collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and drive product development. Key Responsibilities: Lead product discovery initiatives and collaborate with senior business and technical stakeholders to ensure that prioritisation is understood and agreed to. Oversee sprints and ensure the successful delivery of user stories within an agile environment. Work closely with business users, architects, developers, and the testing team to drive backlog execution. Develop a deep understanding of the product suite and align platform changes with the broader strategic vision. Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, workflows, and data requirements related to SWIFT payments and ISO 20022. Support development and production teams in resolving issues as needed. Maintain expertise in SWIFT payments, ISO 20022 standards, and related financial messaging protocols. Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies. Serve as a bridge between product teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure successful outcomes. Skills Required: Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a related role in the payments industry, with a strong focus on real-time payments systems. Proven expertise in leading end-to-end product delivery. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Broad experience with ISO 20022 messaging standards and their application in payment systems. Strong execution mindset with the ability to deliver high-quality outputs within set timeframes. Ability to interpret technical designs, message specifications, and information flow. Knowledge of payment initiation processes from both customer-facing and bank-facing channels. Strong teamwork skills, preferably with experience working in globally distributed teams. Proficiency in analytical thinking, business analysis, and product management.
