Job Description
Overseas Glass Agencies Pty Ltd., is a leading Australian Agency representing renowned international machinery manufacturers, specialising in machinery solutions for all areas of Architectural Flat Glass processing for Australian and New Zealand glass processing Companies. We are actively seeking a skilled, motivated individual to join our team in the role of Production Engineering Specialist. You will be responsible for the planning and co-ordination of the design specification and performance capacities of various Glass Production Machinery systems to exactly match the expected requirements of selected glass processing Companies within the AUS/NZ sectors. Tasks & Responsibilities: Develop, implement and document operational capacities and capabilities of available Glass Production Machinery. Develop factory layouts & CAD drawings of various production systems to suit specific customer requirements. Manage the introduction of new glass production machines and systems to customers, including fully automated shuttle storage and robotic handling systems. Develop operational efficiencies by optimizing glass production processes to reduce manufacturing costs. Support management with customer production quality related activities, including investigations and report presentations. Maintain and promote Quality Management systems. Manage all aspects of new product introduction into customer operations for smooth implementation into full production. Support operations with improvement initiatives and conduct statistical analysis for performance improvement. Qualification & Experience: The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 5 years of direct experience working within the architectural flat glass processing machinery sector. Your success in this role will be your strong problem-solving skills as well as being able to conduct production demand analysis, propose solutions and manage new glass machinery implementations. In addition, the successful candidate must demonstrate the following: Ability to work unsupervised in a teamwork environment. Self-starter with high degree of initiative. Honest, reliable, dependable, and dedicated. Good leader with excellent communication skills. Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving mindset. Flexibility to travel extensively throughout AUST/NZ (approx. 30% of work schedule). Advanced computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office Applications & CAD. Excellent written and verbal English skills. Degree/Diploma qualifications to suit Production Machinery in the flat glass sector.
