Production Manager - Afternoon Shift [ Stapylton, Queensland, 4207]

VENTORA Glass is one of the most sophisticated, environmentally friendly, glass processing plants in the world today. We have facilities in both Queensland and Victoria that service our market-leading brands, as well as external customers. The opportunity VENTORA Glass has an opening for a Production Manager based in Stapylton, this role is critical in delivering promises to our customers by leading the afternoon shift production team (approx. 20 people) to achieve production targets, maintain product quality, and ensure operational efficiency. Please note: Working hours are Monday to Friday 1 pm – 9 pm Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations Lead and supervise the production team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and processes Develop and implement production schedules, allocate resources effectively, and proactively problem-solve supply issues Monitor production output and quality metrics Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to address equipment issues Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes Train and mentor leading hands, production employees, and contingent workers on best practices, quality standards, and safety protocols Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows About You Proven leadership experience and a team player who is highly organised, self-motivated and has a desire to achieve results with excellent planning skills Strong people skills with the ability to liaise with a range of people at different levels Sound judgment and decision-making skills to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and resolve conflicts Experience in lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, or other continuous improvement tools (desirable) Quality assurance and control systems experience e.g., ISO, Dupont (desirable) Certifications in production maintenance e.g., TPM (desirable) What's On Offer Permanent full-time work with a stable national business Generous discounts on our extensive range of products On-site parking Additional paid day’s leave on your birthday, even if it falls on the weekend!
