Job Description

Are you passionate about delivering essential services that impact the health and wellbeing of communities? As a Production Officer , you’ll play a key role in the safe operation and maintenance of water resource recovery assets, ensuring protection of the environment, compliance to Environmental Protection Licences and exceeding customer expectations. You will be reporting directly to the Production Manager, Illawarra Hub, where you'll contribute to the delivery of high-quality water resource recovery services to local communities. Why Join Us? Location: You’ll be based at our Illawarra Hub, with sites spread from Bellambi to Bombo, working in a vibrant and engaging environment. Responsibilities Operating the plants in all conditions, in alignment with Water Resource Recovery and Sydney Water frameworks including health and safety requirements, quality and information management protocols, incident response and business continuity frameworks. Undertaking daily plant performance monitoring and adjust process control parameters. Contributing to the prioritisation of maintenance and renewals to inform weekly scheduling, monthly forecasting and medium to long term planning. Executing on-site process and asset checks using available systems, processes and procedures. Experience And Qualifications Experience in production or manufacturing within Water / Wastewater industry is highly advantageous. Computer skills, basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfortable learning customised software packages. Demonstrated capability and commitment to improvement of customer and safety culture and efficiency outcomes. Ability to solve asset and process issues within capability. Ability to work flexible days and hours to meet business needs including a reasonable level of overtime. Essential Requirements Electrical, instrument or mechanical trade qualifications, qualifications in engineering / science or equivalent experience. Current driver’s license and your own vehicle with flexibility to travel across various locations within your hub. You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of submitting your application to be considered for this role.
