Furphy Galvanizing is a member of the J. Furphy & Sons group - a 5th generation, family owned manufacturing business, based in Shepparton, Victoria. The J. Furphy & Sons group is made up of two other galvanizing plants (Albury & Geelong) as well as a large steel fabrication division in Shepparton, specializing in stainless steel tanks and vessels. The successful applicant will have duties which may include but are not exclusive to and will depend on Qualifications & Experience: Learn all aspects of the Galvanizing Process Forklift and overhead crane operation Visual Quality inspections of finished goods Operation of hand and power tools specific to the work function Packaging of finished products To be successful: Have a mindset that teamwork brings success Have excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic, and be flexible to changing work conditions A forklift license is highly desirable Experience with hand & power tools is an advantage Experience with handling steel is an advantage We have permanent, full-time positions on various shifts available for an immediate start.
