Lead the research agenda and research workforce in the area of First Nations maternal, infant and child health at Charles Darwin University (CDU). About the Position The Molly Wardaguga Institute for First Nations Birth Rights (Molly Institute) was established to improve health outcomes for First Nations communities. The Institute supports these communities in realizing their aspirations for birthing and maternal healthcare. As a Professor in Health Services Redesign, you will lead the research agenda and workforce in First Nations maternal, infant, and child health, providing leadership and advice to the Director to advance the research agenda of the Institute and University. About You To be successful, you will require: A PhD in a health or related field and extensive experience in First Nations health focusing on maternal, infant, and/or child health. Extensive research experience and recognition as an eminent authority at national and international level, including publications and external grants. Sustained performance with a proven track record of research publications and successful teamwork. Experience working with First Nations communities using a multi-disciplinary approach in co-design and research translation. Extensive research project management experience demonstrating high-level organizational skills. Proven experience working effectively with First Nations people and communities. Demonstrated written communication skills for project reports, ethics applications, and peer-reviewed articles. Experience supervising and graduating postgraduate students at Honours, Masters, and PhD levels. Remuneration Appointment to this role will be at Research Focused Academic Level E. The base salary will be $189,150 per annum. The total remuneration package will be $221,305 per annum, including 17% superannuation. What’s in it for you?
