Office of the Secretary and Ministerial Services Employment Type: Ongoing Classification / Grade / Band: Clerk Grade 07 / 08 Remuneration: $110,266 - $122,058; plus Superannuation and Leave Loading Location: Sydney CBD, Flexible & hybrid working options available Applications Close: Friday, 7 February 2025 at 9:59am Your day as a Project and Business Support Officer As a Project and Business Support Officer, you’ll act as a critical member of the Secretary’s core support team, providing timely and effective administrative, secretariat, coordination, project, and policy support to enable the delivery of Secretary and wider departmental objectives. The role holder also provides advice on governance and corporate matters to Treasury executives and their support teams. Given the nature of the role, you will be expected to attend the office at least four days a week. What you can bring to the role The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria: Knowledge and experience of NSW Treasury and relevant NSW public sector policies, practices, and legislative requirements, and an understanding of the machinery of government. Proven ability to triage, assess, and provide feedback on Ministerial advice including briefs. Previous work in managing secretariat functions for senior governance groups and experience in advising on corporate services and corporate governance matters. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and coordinate workflows in a high-volume work area, often under pressure, with competing demands from multiple sources and critical deadlines. Ability and willingness to work in an agile and responsive way across the team, pivoting to higher priority or urgent work and providing cover for the Secretary’s Senior Executive Officer as required. Experience of working in the support team of a senior executive or organisation head. Experience in a policy team would be strongly desirable.
