About Our Client As a well-established multi-disciplined and award-winning contractor with a diverse portfolio of works across energy, water, maritime, structures and construction works, they are going through an exciting growth period fuelled by a strong pipeline of works across both public and private sector clients.Following a recent contract award on a high-profile defence project, we are seeking an experienced and all-round Commercial Manager from a contracting background, with strong technical and leadership skills to support and drive the project commercial function through the ECI and execution stages of this project south of the river in Perth.Essential Criteria: University Degree in Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management. 20+ years industry experience, working with large tier 2 or tier 1 construction organisations. Ability to proactively influence and educate engineers and supervisors in commercial best practices. Ability to understand the likelihood and consequence of risk events in a construction project context in order to prioritise risk management. Demonstrated ability to analyse contractual / legal issues and provide solutions through appropriate problem-solving techniques. Sound commercial acumen accompanied by proven negotiation and inter-relationship skills. Good communication skills for the development of strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
