LOCATION : Perth, WA Full-Time Fixed Contract (24 Months) role based in Subiaco Industry-leading organisation in mining exploration Competitive remuneration package The Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientedProject Controls Administrator to lead the project control services in the development of a greenfields gold project in east Africa. You will report directly to the Project Delivery Manager and play a pivotal role in managing project cost, schedule, scope, contract, and risk to ensure accurate and timely reporting of project performance. In this role, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, driving cost and schedule efficiency and maintaining financial accuracy throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Act as a crucial support to the Project Delivery Manager in addition to the Development and Construction team. Compiling periodic project reporting, including monthly project reports, quarterly reviews, and ad hoc requirements. Oversee contractor project controls activities to ensure compliance with project procedures and requirements. Identify and implement improvement opportunities for streamlining project controls work processes. Monitoring project costs, commitments, and identifying budget deviations. Develop and maintain Final Forecast Cost (FFC) while proactively identifying risks and mitigations. Monitor project progress and update schedules in conjunction with Project Team. Administer effective contingency and change management processes. Analyse and report progress against plans to contribute to strategic project decisions. Ensure accurate schedules and timely reporting to highlight potential issues early. Assist the Project Delivery Manager with tender documentation and procurement activities. Collaborate with team members to gather insights for effective reporting. Conduct end-of-month cost reviews and reconciliations. Maintain a risk register and track action items. Support budget tracking and project expenditures. About you Our ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively across diverse stakeholders and culture. At least3 years of experience in project controls administration or project engineering/management in the execution of mining projects. Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, finance, accounting, or a related field. Strong inExcel including pivot tables, data validation and conditional formatting. Proficient in project management software (MS Project, Primavera) and ERP systems (Pronto). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent organisational skills. Proficient reporting skills (both in writing and presenting). Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Where you’ll be working This position is based in Perseus’s Subiaco office, with a corporate team of roughly 40 employees and growing. You’ll join a small corporate team, allowing for close interactions across all departments and levels of the business.
