Project Controls Professionals – Defence Sector | Expressions of Interest (EOI) Location: zerofloat Adelaide, South Australia, Australia Driving excellence with end-to-end Project Controls and PMO solutions for on-time, on-budget project delivery Are you a Project Controls Specialist, Planner, Scheduler, or Cost Controller with Defence sector experience ? Do you hold an Australian Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1, NV2, TSPV) ? Are you looking to work on some of Australia’s most critical Defence projects ? Zerofloat is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from experienced Defence project professionals, independent contractors, and consultants to support an expanding pipeline of Defence projects across Australia. About the Opportunity We are seeking experienced Project Controllers, Planners, Schedulers, and Cost Controllers to contribute to major Defence projects nationwide. Locations: Canberra, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, and Perth. Work Flexibility: Some remote and hybrid work opportunities available. Veteran Friendly: We strongly encourage applications from transitioning or ex-Defence personnel. About You Defence Project Experience: Relevant experience in the Defence Capability and Acquisition Group (CASG) and knowledge of the Defence Capability Life Cycle (CLC) across ADF, APS, ATL, BTL, or subcontractor roles. Security Clearance: You MUST be an Australian citizen currently residing in Australia with an Australian Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1, NV2, TSPV). Education & Expertise: A degree, diploma, or certification in Engineering or Project Management from a recognised body. Project Controls Skills: Expertise in Planning, Cost Control, Project Systems, Earned Value, Change Management, Risk Management, Audits, Training, and PMO setup . Industry Standards & Tools: Deep knowledge of PMBOK, CPM, PRINCE2, MSP, Agile , and tools such as Open Plan Professional (OPP), Cobra, MS Project, @Risk, Monte Carlo simulations . Analytical & Advisory Strength: Ability to perform schedule analysis, risk identification, and mitigation strategies . Proficient in EVM, data analysis, and reporting using Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, SAP, Oracle, Opentext, and MS Office . Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to communicate clearly, provide specialist project advice , and support Contractor Master Schedules (CMS), Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and procurement activities . Mentorship & Leadership: Skilled in coaching and mentoring teams in Project Control methodologies and best practices . Why Join Zerofloat?
