Type: Permanent Location(s): Mackay & Coalfields, Regional QLD Market leading and growing civil contracting business with blue chip clients Excellent career progression and company culture, excellent pipeline Rostered work that is either DIDO or FIFO in the Bowen Basin. 2:1 roster Great opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on projects such as earthworks, demolition, excavation, piling, retention, foundations etc. Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Project Engineer to join their growing business. Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects. Types of projects include bulk earthworks, demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from $2.5 to $25m but can go up to $50m+. This role is for potential projects which will be based in the Bowen Basin and the candidate will either live locally or ideally DIDO (drive in, drive out). FIFO to Mackay will also be considered. The work will be on a roster. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Working on tenders Planning and scheduling of construction activities Management of site project teams Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management Preparation of management reports Resolving site issues in a timely manner Liaising with key clients and stakeholders Coordinating internal and external resources Business development Recruitment and mentoring of teams Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar 4–10+ years’ experience on civil projects, must have bulk earthworks experience Project management qualifications will be advantageous Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate Effective problem solving abilities Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations High level of organisation and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills If you have the skills and experience that we are looking for, click on “Apply” to submit your resume.
