The Project Queensland Government-owned corporation, Sunwater is planning for the construction of a new dam wall immediately downstream from the existing Paradise Dam on the Burnett River. The project is a large, multi-year project that will ensure a safe and secure water supply for the Bundaberg region for future generations. This role is part of the Paradise Alliance, formed by Sunwater to deliver the Paradise Dam Improvement Project, with CPB Contractors / Georgiou appointed as major construction partner and GHD as the ongoing design partner. Key Responsibilities Interpreting, planning, coordinating and administering construction engineering activities in line with the project documentation. Assisting the Senior Project Engineer and/or Lead in preparing accurate monthly reports. Managing the short and long-term construction planning for works under control including submittals, start-up, planning and programming. Developing and monitoring KPI and productivity analysis against program and budget. Coordinate procurement and construction elements for the designated work areas. Monitoring of on-site resources, recent material, supplier deliveries and construction progress in conjunction with the supervisors for daily, weekly reporting. Actively liaise/build strong relationships and networks with client, Alliance project teams, sub-contractors & suppliers. Development of SHEQ process and procedures and management of others in conducting SHEQ process and procedures. Applying engineering principles to comply with scope of works and technical criteria (SWTC). Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes. Requirements for this role: Recognised Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management. Previous experience as a Project Engineer working on large scale projects with a tier 1 company. Previous experience in Alliance / Hard Dollar Contracting, Structural Concrete and Bound Granular Pavement highly regarded. Proven commercial experience in forecasting and budget management, EOM Process and cost tracking skills. Note this role will initially be based in our Alliance office in Brisbane but will transition to a full time, site-based basis. You must be willing to work on site either FIFO or DIDO.
