Project Engineer / Project Manager - Projects to $4m Construction > Project Management Type: Permanent Location(s): Albury, Wodonga & Murray, Regional NSW Established, multi-state presence, market leading Tier 2 Contractor Extensive project pipeline in Defence, Industrial & Commercial sectors Delivering Defence projects up to $4m of a new build or refurbishment nature Excellent career progression and culture A market leading Tier 2 contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects is now seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager to join their growing business. Will be running projects of a refurbishment or new build nature from smaller up to $4m in the defence sector. Projects in the business are generally Industrial, Defence or Commercial in nature; experience with similar projects in these sectors will be an advantage. As Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager , you will need to have strong commercial acumen, contracts management, design management, OHS, programming/planning experience as well as running meetings with consultants and subcontractors to provide a high-quality service that will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design comprehensive project programmes and communicate to team Project delivery from inception through to completion Ensure construction programmes are followed & deliver on project quality to programme Identify and manage construction risk through all projects, escalating issues when required Manage project expenditure and cash flow Management and achievement of external engineering design aspects of projects Design management Manage subcontractors on site Manage and maintain HSEQ requirements on the project Produce progress reports Deliver and manage client expectations Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or similar Minimum 5 - 15 years+ experience in the successful delivery of projects from start to finish ideally from a Tier 1 or 2 background Proven leadership ability in building and motivating teams to deliver high quality projects Previous experience delivering greenfield projects Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements/standards Strong planning and project financial reporting skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Well-developed interpersonal skills Experience with Microsoft Office suite Construction Safety Induction (white) card Ability to gain defence clearance This is a permanent full-time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
