About the role We are seeking a Project Engineering Manager to join our Newcastle based team. You will be leading a highly experienced project team and managing assigned critical mineral projects and/or studies. The role is offered on a full-time permanent basis. Brief duties Provide strategic direction and leadership to the project engineering team, setting clear goals, objectives, and priorities aligned with project requirements. Develop and implement design processes, methodologies, and standards to ensure consistency, efficiency, and excellence in engineering deliverables across projects. Oversee the execution of detailed design projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to clarify design objectives, allocate resources, and resolve technical issues. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and challenges, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes. Lead and mentor the project team, fostering a culture of collaboration. Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure engineering solutions meet project requirements and industry standards. Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of engineering deliverables to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and client expectations. About you Tertiary degree in Engineering or a related field. 10+ years' experience in detailed design engineering, with a strong track record of successful project delivery. Excellent project management skills. Proven leadership abilities, including managing multi-disciplinary teams. Experience with base metals, rare earth minerals, and mineral processing in a design and construct environment.
