Job Summary: The Project Human Resources Lead is a Generalist HR position covering all HR disciplines and responsible for coordinating HR support to management and employees on one or more assigned projects within Australia. The selected applicant will bring HR knowledge and experience to the project team(s), fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, diversity and inclusion. Coordinating with the People Operations organization and Global Business Unit (GBU) Business Partners, the duties will include coordination of staffing, on-boarding, employee engagement, HR policy and assignment conditions management and administration, employee mobilization and demobilization, compensation, talent/performance management and training facilitation. Flexibility and teamwork are key in this role. Major Responsibilities: Manage staffing processes including requisition development and/or review, posting initiation, client approval actions including submission, tracking and reporting and project communications regarding new arrivals. Ensure project staffing plans and staffing management tools are appropriately actioned, including producing reports and analysis and liaising with internal and external stakeholders including company Talent Acquisition specialists. Manage employee demobilization schedules and release dates in alignment with project staffing plans including short term assignment tracking. This includes preparation of assignment completion paperwork for project personnel in accordance with local legal and company requirements, as applicable. Employee assignment conditions/allowance oversight including any necessary per diem, or assignment allowance modifications in conjunction with People Operations. Visa and Immigration compliance as required for project personnel, including compliance for country entry and exit requirements, position change notifications, local processing assistance. Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders while managing the interface and alignment of HR processes to ensure compliance, consistency, and effectiveness of HR activities. Maintain a strong awareness of new or pending industry practices or legislative changes; analysis and evaluation of the project impact; recommends sound, practical solutions to complex issues and liaise with Region and Country HR Management on recommendations. Work with Project Management to ensure processes are in place to align with Bechtel HR policies, procedures, and guidelines. Support and maintenance of local Employee Relations (ER) issues and ER system updates, in coordination with the People Operations ER team. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or other relevant discipline from an accredited university (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience. The ability to work and remain in Australia without sponsorship. Ability to obtain any required security clearances. Required Knowledge and Skills: Well-developed communication (written and verbal), influencing, facilitation, and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented, organized, flexible and able to work effectively at all levels of the organization. Experience in several HR disciplines such as Compensation, EEO, Employment & Staffing, Training & Development, employment law etc. Experience in the development and analysis of metrics used to guide business decisions. Proven ability to exercise a high degree of individual initiative, discretion, and judgment as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines. Previous Project HR experience during engineering, procurement, and construction phases on medium-large projects. Experience using HR Systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr
