Project Health and Safety Manager

As a result of Georgiou’s significant growth, we are now seeking to strengthen the Safety function of our Engineering team through the appointment of an experienced Project Health and Safety Manager for a large Metro Project in Perth. The successful candidate will have extensive construction experience and will be responsible for providing leadership, management and guidance to the project contracts team to exceed client expectations and stakeholder relationships. What you’ll do: Lead and support project teams and HSE team by ensuring high standards of safety management and compliance with Georgiou’s policies, procedures and WHS legislative requirements. Develop, implement and communicate Georgiou’s “Safety is My Way” culture and WHS strategies to our site employees and subcontractors. Ensure that all Project activities, processes and systems comply with applicable workplace health and safety laws, regulations and statutory obligations. Monitor and maintain our Risk Register, Health and Safety systems and Management Plans, investigating incidents and areas for opportunity to find root cause and corrective actions. What you’re good at: Relevant qualifications in Health & Safety or related discipline, with extensive experience in a similar role, preferably in a site-based civil construction environment. Demonstrated ability to provide advice and assistance to support Project/Contract Managers and frontline teams to ensure effective implementation of project’s HSE systems.
