Project Installation Engineer (AUSTRALIA) Role Definition We are actively looking to hire a Project Installation Engineer for offshore power cables projects in the Australian area, with experience in method statements/Installation procedures to cover the following: Act as a technical interface with the client for document preparation Act as technical point of contact for scopes of work within the project Report to Installation Department outcome of meetings and technical discussions Critically evaluate technical and contractual information Analyze and understand customer technical challenges Develop technical design solutions against client scope of work Fully grasp all engineering challenges and effectively utilize engineering tools and techniques to overcome challenges as they occur Develop technical procedures associated with installing cables in the offshore marine environment Ensure that the engineering technical solution provision is best in class and effective with respect to cost, quality, and safety Confront any potential subcontractor and/or end clients and/or authorities, to follow-up on any comments on the installation documentation produced Engineering including preparation of method statements for the following activities: Burial assessment study (BAS) Survey works Cable installation works Pre-sweeping/dredging works Mattress installation works Trenching works Cable pull-in at landfall and at offshore substation Qualification Mandatory: Autocad software experience Fluency in Italian and English Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degrees in Engineering Technology or other Engineering related subjects Surveyor background and GIS software experience Conditions Remote work is potentially possible with face-to-face meetings required approximately once per week in Melbourne.
